To kick start the week let’s talk about boosting employee morale through pep talk.

We can talk about every possible hazard at the workplace, discuss various ways to mitigate the risks, and remind employee all day long about using PPE, but at some point it’s important to remember and remind every employee why we are talking about safety in the first place –IT IS TO MAKE SURE WE EACH GO HOME SAFELY EVERY DAY.

According to www.dictionary.com , pep talk is defined as a vigorous, emotional talk as to a person or group, intended to arouse enthusiasm, increase determination to success, etc. And bringing it down to safety, PEP TALK is a speech which is intended to encourage personnel at workplace to work safe in order to live safe.

If your employees are getting sloppy and careless, then a safety talk is necessary. Talking up safety can never hurt. Even the safe workers need encouragement to keep focused on safety. A good pep talk might just prevent someone who is generally a safe worker from engaging in risk taking at some time in the future.

This is a type of verbal communication between safety professionals and employees and it usually supplements the training efforts of the management. It emphasizes to workers that safety is a TOP PRIORITY of the company.

👉Are your workers getting sloppy or engaging in unsafe acts and creating unsafe conditions??? If yes they need a PEP TALK👌
