Wrapping is an integral part that ends the production process in confectionery production industry. Confection like chocolates, sweets, chewing gums etc. are wrapped for protection and also to enhance its attractiveness. The process of wrapping must be done safely to ensure the product are safe, free from any contaminant and fit for consumption. The World Environment Day is 2019 themed Beat Air Pollution Air Pollution is the introduction into the environment of a substance or thing that has harmful or poisonous effect. There are two types: Primary and Secondary pollutants. Primary pollutants that are emitted directly into the air and can cause harm. Examples include; particulates, sulphur dioxide and oxides of nitrogen which can cause irritation of the lungs and other parts of the respiratory system Secondary pollutants formed from the reaction of pollutants with other substances or the surroundings into which they are emitted. Examples are; low level Ozone (bad Ozone) is formed when sulphur dioxide emitted from the burning of fossil fuels reacts with the presence of sunlight, causing irritation of the respiratory system. These pollutants can be in the form of gases, vapour, odours, mist, fumes, smoke, dust, grit, fibre and the most common airborne pollutant are carbon monoxide, benzene, 1,3-butadiene, sulph...

THEME : A SAFE AND HEALTHY FUTURE OF WORK The world safety day is celebrated annually on the 28 th of April to remember how far we have gone in occupational safety and health. During this season, we remember our fallen heroes who have died due to work related diseases, taking a closer look at where we are presently and plan new strategies for the future. ILO studies revealed that     all over the world,   there are 7500 people that die daily due to unsafe and hazardous work conditions, 6500 people died from work related diseases , while 1,000,000 people gets injured at work every day. This statistics is so because workers are faced with different risks at their various workplaces ranging from physical risks, biological risks, chemical risk, ergonomic risk and psychosocial risks; these all affects workers safety, health, wellbeing and lives in general.
